• The only way I ever see you escaping him is if you have connections with any other of the kings, Especially the more powerful ones like Beelzebub. If they care enough or you have a certain relationship (Platonic or otherwise) they could probably bail you out, Secretly of course, You’re going into hell’s witness protection after this.

• Mammon would be pissed, Yelling and destroying everything around him as he demands his employees to find you. Basically having the biggest tantrum of his life.

• When he finds you with the money he bribed people with, It really depends if you do have a connection to one of the kings because if so that would stop him from taking you back. Leaving him to absolutely explode over what happened, Just fuming and scheming a way to get you back.

• If you don’t have a connection to one of the kings, Then he’ll drag you back to the greed ring screaming. He won’t hesitate to yell obscenities and break your legs, Throw you into the trailer cage and start the torture all over.

• But hey! What can you expect?

• This is the king of greed, Of course he’ll never let you go.

• Not for a very, VERY long time.

I honestly cannot understand the people hating on your work. I feel like fandoms has been invaded by a wave of purity/moral policy that shouldn't exist anymore. it's even more wild to me knowing you're working on a greek myth, and the greek myths are KNOWN to have many versions. that's the beauty of them in my opinion, the way these authors all wrote their own versions and they passed them to us. I love the fact you picked Ganimedes, and you decided to explore both Zeus and him. And the mystery you keep about your relationship really makes me wonder which take you will follow!

and speaking of take, I really enjoy yours on Zeus. Gods are complex beings, and sure they're problematic (like duh) and bad, and everything but it's funny how people will decide which pick for who. Like everybody love Poseidon but oh boy, he can be as bad as Zeus people. So yeah, I am actually excited to read the way you're gonna write him! I don't hate Zeus, sure he does seem one of the "worse" when reading most of the myths, but my favorite thing is the way you can love one god in one story, and hate him in another. they're immortal beings. they're not just black and white. so I happen to enjoy when authors write Zeus as more than just a big bad villain. But I also enjoy when they just don't make him a "sweet lovely daddy".

Oh by the way, I didn't know the version of Metis abusing him and I'll have to look into it! We had a more "feminist" vision of her myth in my class, so it's not something that was talked about hmm.

Also, my bad for saying he died. It was a sum up because of him turning into a constellation. I cannot say we studied this myth so unfortunately I don't have sources to help you on it! It's assumed he lives on forever young but the fact he turns into a constellation is why people think he died?

About the hate... People re affraid (artists have to much power kkkkk) and we live in a time that you need to share your opnion to get validation. In my case, they need to say that Zeus is bad and hate on him and me so they know they re on the rigth side and have good morals. And even after all this, I think its a good thing they just warning people, that way I can get to my real target that can enjoy characters more complex that re not good or evil, but mess up beings (that includes Ganimedes). And even if people in the end critizied my aproach, its also fine, I dont claim to be perfect and just hope that even to the mad ones, they feel inspired to create their version as well. I think they forgot that, like, they can have their version and will be as valid as mine, dosent matter the story.

(I really enjoy everything about Ganymede, if people go and do their versions, its a plus to me! More about him is best for me heheh. I came across two versions of Ganymede on tumblr and I LOVE BOTH!! not a request but i have a question or two on your siren character that you wrote with a dark/obsessive alucard, in the piece it is made clear that the siren character has a strong hate for humans due to being stolen from her family and home to be inslaved and sold by them and tries to leave alucard when finding out he is half human. so my question is about how the series ends with village belmont being built around the castle, how do you think the siren would react to alucard bring humans to live in and around their home knowing her history with them? my first thought would be her trying to leave and lashing out at alucard as she would rather be alone in the world then surounded by humans but as she is your character i wanted to get your take on that situation and to ask where or what media you got the sirens physical characteristics from as i have never seen sirens depicted with large dark eyes and am intrested in learning more siren lore

Oooh, that's a good question.

I wonder if, by that time, she'd sort of warmed up to the idea of humans being with Alucard and getting to "trust" him (that or the Stockholm syndrome starts to set it). OR... If like you say, she'd be very angry and distrustful.

I also see this third option of sorting using it to each other's advantage. She sees that even though the humans adore Alucard now for saving them, it won't be that way forever. Eventually, they will learn something they don't like, see a part of him that's more vampire than human, and they will judge him negatively for it. She could use this looming threat to ensure Alucard sees her as his one true partner and confidant, even after Sypha and Trevor return.

At the same time, I see Alucard potentially doing a version of the same thing. He knows our Siren friend is not versed well in human social expectations, so every time he pushes her to socialize, it doesn't end well. Either it's awkward, or she ends up yelling and scaring people, which is at the point where he gets to swoop in and apologize for her behavior. Alucard in doing this, is basically telling her, hey, "I am the only reason these people tolerate you" "I am the only one you can trust still".

It's toxic af but that's the yandere asepct for you lol.

And for the siren descriptions, I read a bit about Celtic lore surrounding fae and selkies, and then thinking of selkies made me think of seals, and they have dark big eyes, right? They have big rounded pupils to see deep underwater where it's dark, but then those pupils close up when on land.

For our Siren, I think she'd have a protective lens layer for her more 'human' form, that protects the extra large pupil from the harsh sun/UV rays. I also recalled reading a Reddit post about what a realistic mermaid would like, and how she'd need blubber or layers of insulation OR she'd be very skeletal and have translucent skin if she were much further down in the deepest parts of the ocean. So I went with the deeper down theory a bit, which is also why she couldn't get away in a river, even if it was deep enough to swim, she couldn't sustain a long life in that environment.

oooh!! ok so, slightly long complicated answer because it was a lot of things really! I really liked watching sketch comedy on youtube as a kid and rewatched the behind the scenes on every film i could 100x over, and when my friend got an Ipad I used to BEG for us to make films and trailers on imovie everytime I was at hers.

When I got older, like high school age, art was my favourite subject and I didn't really know what I wanted to do when I graduated, but I knew I wanted it to be creative. So I made a portfolio and applied to 5 art universities. And then I got 5 rejections, because I really loved art, but my passion (and skill) is not in fine art or illustration, and my portfolio showed it. But that was a blessing in disguise!! To quote an old Scots phrase that was much repeated to me at the time "What's fir ye will nae go by ye", basically what's for you, won't pass you by. But because I had no university or college place lined up, and no apprenticeship or job lined up either, I had to do a summer course while a careers advisor tried to help me figure out what I wanted to do with my future. On that summer buisness and employability course, I had an instructor who talked about what's he'd done before choosing to change career paths to education. He'd done a film degree and told us all about what it was like to study film and work on a set and how it's a career that can really appeal to people who struggle with other jobs getting too repetitive or structured, but needing some level of structure to succeed. and that really clicked with me!

So a few weeks later, when my careers advisor asked 'Any ideas what courses you want to try and find a place on?' I immediately said film.

and that got me a place on a 1-year college course doing Film and TV Production, and in the middle of that I got a place on a residential short course through the BFI where I worked on my first fully budgeted short-film!! Then the two of them together got me a place on my current university course! and now I'm doing that and it's taking up almost every hour of the day but I love it!!! :)

Introducing the lads: Yay and Yoker!! :D

Yay's the longer one on the left with the very defined brown/fawn coloured hooded pattern and smooth fur, he's more cautious of me but once I've given him some vegetables he gets a bit more bold and will play around a bit more. On the right is Yoker, he's got 'rex' or curly type fur and is still a hooded rat, but has a much more peachy colour so it's harder to see. Yoker is very food motivated and isn't scared of me at all anymore, if there's a pea or a cornflake being offered he will ignore any and all hazards to get to it. In that way he's much like his big brother Bruno!!

Bruno's doing good! He's kinda scared of the rats (when he goes near the cage Yoker runs up to check him out, and the speed he moves at scares Bruno so he'll go sit behind me or across the room and watch the rats from a distance). He's actually sitting under my leg right now, purring away :) He's a wee old man, so very big into sleeping, lazing around and cuddling up to me at the moment. Also don't worry, we never have the rats out when the cats nearby them, he's never shown interest in chasing small animals and he's much more interested in watching them than trying to get at them, but I understand animals have a prey drive so we're keeping them separate to be safe.

oooh!!! well i think he doesn't have a particularly good understanding of his body. i think he would have a better understanding of cis male masturbation from things he has heard from people around him. i dont think he would have really touched himself much. probably have been more of a humper and not completely understand why he would get so winded after. Oooh, very cool question! And to make things more interesting, I'm going to make this a power-swap for my superpowered OCs and their partners (since otherwise there would be several that are just like "basically the same, they already have the same job and everything" and that's boring)

For the sake of making things exciting, Rae is now stuck in the same fighting ring Warren was, and she has to fight for her life. Unlike Warren, she's a lot more daring, and risks an escape after her first few fights. As for Warren, he'd have freedom he didn't have before, travelling the world and learning new languages, and it would probably be a really good thing for him.

Robin now has to cope with 1. losing her ability to use as a hearing aid, which is tough and 2. having to learn how to be a speedster for the first time, which is also tough. Peter helps her through it, but now he's expected to go on stage and perform a whole opera, and he is NOT prepared for that.

Madison and Alex wouldn't be to badly off, really. They'd have to learn how to adapt to each other's mutations, but they're both pretty adaptable already so I think they'd get through it alright.

Ophelia is actually a lot better off - she's got the innate powers she's always wished she had, it's basically her life but a little easier. Whereas Peter has to deal with having his powers stripped away and learning to adapt with Ophelia's technology instead - he never really realized how much effort it takes her.

Jasper, assuming we're dealing with the whole brought-back-to-life stage of things, struggles hard. For one thing, it would be a difficult situation for anyone, but for another, Kyle doesn't have the practice with Jasper's empathic abilities to help them through it the way they normally would.

Quinn and Billy are about the same. They're already part of the same crew, run the same missions, and have effectively the same skillset. The only difference is that with it not being a body-swap, Quinn can't do the parkour stunts Billy normally does.

Kestrel and Warren... that's interesting. On the one hand, Kestrel is both struggling with not being able to shapeshift, but also realizing how much easier it is to have a "set" identity that they don't have to fight to maintain. Meanwhile, Warren is shapeshifting out-of-control, unable to hold onto a consistent shape with nothing to rely on. Kestrel coaches him through it, since they're used to going through the same thing, but he's given a new respect for how much constant effort it takes them to maintain their identity as Kestrel

Katherine suddenly has to cope with literally decaying every sunrise and being brought back to life every night, and she has no idea how Ahk can still be so gentle and charming when he has to deal with that every single day without fail. Ahk, on the other hand, is enjoying being able to have a somewhat normal life for a bit, though he's more than a little lost at all the modern technology around him.

Tales of Three Kingdoms Yue Jin

So latest news letter from Baptiste. His usual warmth comes across and his sense of humour, also some fun images of 3k figures and drawings. His third book, with an appropriate date for the 3kingdom fan, is coming out and I do look forward to seeing how Dynasty Killers covers some of those famous battles and the Han vs Cao Cao.

We get to the front cover of Dynasty Killers (this will go well for the Han). The close up really allows you to admire the artisary on the swords and armour, the choice of Chinese characters on the sword really adds an ominous feel

Also done a bonus tales from Yue Jin who Baptiste loves (I mean somebody out there has to right?) and sells as to why in newsletter. I came into the chapter as someone who was more "I like the author's work" then "oooh Yue Jin" but in the novels, he been a notable student along with people like Xu Chu and Liao Hua, a figure who has been progressing and being of good aid to Liao Hua. His famed traits of bravery and shortness had not been overused and he is a rising figure but one that hadn't had the most focus on.

I really enjoyed what he did with this, fleshing out Yue Jin (and others) and providing a different perspective while making an enjoyable origin tale.

Minor Spoilers below line

So there are some, deliberate judging by the newsletter and a joke made, similarities with Liao Hua (I do love the figures from outside providing perspective of the powerful) but avoids the potential trap as not too similar, this is distinct from Liao Hua. The young villager perspective to someone arriving (in this case, Cao Cao and a few others) is intresting particularly with a different set of circumstances, this is Yue Jin seeing Cao Cao and co for the first time. What Cao Cao and others looked like for the heads of a local community arriving, the little power-plays and signals. A Yue Jin of a better station then Liao Hua, a family he nicely plays off and a burning desire that feels different to Liao Hua but comes across powerfully.

Yue Jin comes across well, again Baptiste resists the urge to lean too much into his height while also using it to flesh out his life expirence. Nice dynamic with his family, particularly the father and watching some local politics at play between Cao Cao and Yue Ding was fun. I liked that Yue Ding wasn't a useless figure for Yue Jin to pour scorn at but someone who knows what he is doing and thus made his local man vs warlord an intresting tussle of perspectives and ambitions (as well as Yue Jin's own desires)

It is well written, builds up skilfully to it's big moment and key decisions and the reveal of a certain figure while providing more about not just Yue Jin but another figure (who doesn't say much but use of appearance, of his reactions, builds a sense of the figure before the reveal) with a fun interaction at the end.

hii, i am the jorlex anon, and i absolutely freaking loved it, like can you IMAGINE jorge's thoughts, with his (i am assuming) self doubt about this whole relationship, because he KNOWSSSS that despite Alex is a adult and a mature rider and person, there is still the undeniable age gap that probably coast jorge some sleep sometimes and then, post retirement maybe some self doubt starts to creep in, like "does he love me? do i deserve him, now that i am older and retired? will he leave me for someone his age? (yes, yes he does deserve him and alex loves jorge and he wouldn't leave) and then he hears THIS, probably without context and not knowing alex's thought process behind it, and he is SPIRALING, ohh can you imagine?

And oooh.... Oooh Intresting take. And yes I absolutely see the age gap still being a problem even when older. (I kind of like that soooo definitely keeping that). And Jorge's thoughts post retirement are hitting HARD. Like at first Alex was too young. And now suddenly Jorge is too old. (in my head that makes sense). He is retired and he lives like a retired athlete. Less training, less food restrictions, less traveling. So everything that Jorge told himself connected them is suddenly gone. PLUS Jorge being less present would definitely worry Jorge in a "He's gonna find someone else :(" way. (meanwhile Alex spending 90% of the race week nights on his phone talking to Jorge or hanging out with his friends/ brother. Like he doesn't even try)

So there is definitely this weird level of insecurity for Jorge that might never properly go away. Oh. Him seeing a picture of like a 13/14 year old Alex in his 2010 motogp championship merch. He DIES RIGHT THERE. Cause what do you mean his boyfriend was in 8th grade while he was drowning in the Jerez pond.

But actually one of my favorite things in Jorlex dynamic beside the age gap would Alex to Motogp Honda in 2020 be. Like not only would Alex wonder if Marc had something to do with it, but Jorge retiring and now Alex gets the seat.....??? Yeah Alex is suspicious. Kind of in a "Was it you or him fucking with my contract?" "What?" "Did you or my brother mingle with Honda to sign me?" Jorge stares at him over his coffee mug like "no I didn't. Maybe I said consider the moto2 champion who showed he can fight tooth and nails and is also a moto3 champion but can you blame me???"
